Its journey can be traced back to 1953 when Laura and Bernard Ashley began hand-printing fabric at their kitchen table in their tiny flat in Pimlico after being inspired by a Women’s Institute exhibition at the V&A museum.

As one of the most celebrated designers in the business, Orla Kiely OBE, is an Irish fashion designer based in London, who began her career designing hats, moving on to handbags and many other items including kitchenware and cars and earning her a reputation as the Queen of Prints.

She worked with several companies before setting up her own business, when she extended her collaborative philosophy to include the studio at Ashley Wilde, allowing illumin8 the chance to offer an iconic range of blinds & curtains, together in one exclusive collection.
The Print Library by Cath Kidston for made-to-measure blinds and curtains features familiar favourites like signature spots, playful character designs and colourful stripes as well a host of iconic florals, including their first ever print design, Antique Rose.
